Track views, reach, engagement & conversions
There are many leads with the wrong number. Views look good and impressive but mean almost nothing on their own. A video can rank up views because the algorithm shows it to people who scroll up straight fast. Reach is the number that actually tell about something: how many real accounts saw your post, reel, and stories; reach is not about how many times it shows up. Everything else you calculate from here should use that as the base, it not about view count.
Engagement is where you catch quality over volume. A post with fewer views but with heavy shares, likes, comments, and saves. Usually outperforms a viral one with silent scrollers, because saves mean someone comes back to you and your social media handle. If a hundred people comment emojis isn’t the same signal as five people commeting is more signal than emojis.
Provide detailed campaign reports
The reel or shorts analysis is not the detailed reports. It’s a long and detail report. The main thing is that if a person is able to read it in five minutes and walk away what to do next. So open numbers tied to the actual goal:- if the campaign was build for awareness, that means reach and video completion rate up top, before anyone gets to likes.
Give the data to the creator too. Aggregate hide the facts that one post usually carries the whole campaign, and that’s the thing worth knowing before you book anyone again. When something goes underperformance , say so, and take a guess at why instead of tucking it into a footnote somewhere. Client only show data if wins.
Optimize campaigns based on performance
Optimizing mid campaign only works if you actually watching it while live, not waiting for final report to show up. Optimizing wil only works within the 48 hour. Set checkpoint at the 48 hour mark. If a post or reel perform underperforming a creator’s average by a wide margin, that’s enough to still fix it by replace CTA, boost it with paid spend.
Don’t optimize on th basis of gut feeling alone. Compare against the creator’s own baseline. A post that looks slow next to a big influencer might be their best one yet.
